AC/DC: BLACK ICE
Black Ice has a lot more confidence and a lot more swagger than its last two albums combined. Eight years had elapsed between its last album, so there was plenty of time to gather material. There are memorable moments on the album, such as the flat-out rock of Rock N Roll Train, the fan pleaser Anything Goes, and the menace of War Machine. Unlike any other band of their stature, AC/DC truly don't care about the world at large. They see no triumph in their longevity, they long ago dismissed not only the idea of artistic statements but the very notion of artistic growth: they aren't good or bad, they simply are.
