AC/DC: POWER UP
AC/DC are back with the surviving members of their "Back in Black" lineup - Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd - and by the sound of their 17th studio album, "Power Up," they're starting right where they left off. The album, which also features Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, sounds like classic AC/DC, with big, thick guitars, chugging rhythms and Brian Johnson's raw, wailing vocals. From top to bottom, AC/DC stick to what they're known for best rock 'n' roll, with the extra flair and color that defines their sound. It's their best record since 1990's The Razors Edge, and yet again, they sound the same as they always have. Frontman Brian Johnson, who had to leave their last tour due to deafness, now has a special hearing aid so he can continue to sing, and Malcolm’s nephew, Stevie Young, plays rhythm guitar. Rudd has served his time and plays as steady as ever, and even Angus Young’s schoolboy outfit still fits snugly.
