THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND: HITTIN' THE NOTE
The band's last studio album marked the Allmans' return after a nine-year break. It also marked their first album without Dickey Betts, their first with Derek Trucks and the return of Warren Haynes, who left in 1997 to focus on Gov't Mule. All the changes did some good, revitalizing the group during a period in which its legendary live shows mattered way more than records.
