THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND: WHERE IT ALL BEGINS
The third album in the band's '90s comeback, and last before another nine-year break, falls somewhere between its predecessors. The playing is tighter and more focused on 1991's "Shades Of Two Worlds," but things were starting to crack behind the scenes again. By the time the Allmans got around to recording another album, guitarist Warren Haynes was gone. So was Dickey Betts, who had been there from the start. His playing on his final album with the group is, as always, stellar.
