AMON DÜÜL II: VIVE LA TRANCE
Vive La Trance is a multitextured, psychedelic gem that condenses the lush production of '70s prog rock with the wild experimentation of '60s psychedelia. The songs on this recording tend to be shorter (averaging around three and-a-half minutes), and more conventional in structure and subject-matter, but there is an overlay of electronics and psychedelic effects that keeps the music within the progressive realm. Structurally this album is finally at the level of other english prog bands during the same time (73-75).
