One of the most perfect synth/guitar albums of the 1970s, a must for any lover of ambient textures and chilled out atmospheres. The tracks on this album are hypnotic, multi layered and trance inducing. A true master of the electric guitar, on this album Göttsching only uses it sparingly but when his axe is heard it speaks volumes. New Age Of Earth never reaches the heights of Tangerine Dream's and Schulze's masterpieces of the 74-77 period, but few things do really and Göttsching comes in right behind them with this remarkable electronic album.
